PVD Sputtering

PVD Sputtering is a vacuum metallization technology used to deposit very thin layers of metal or metallic oxides onto different substrates.

During the process, the parts are placed inside a vacuum chamber. Metallic particles are projected from a target and then deposited uniformly onto the surface of the component. This creates a thin, adherent and resistant film, with highly precise thickness control.

This technology makes it possible to achieve very high-quality metallic finishes, with strong aesthetic freedom: glossy, matte, transparent, colored, gradient or specific effects. PVD Sputtering also offers an almost infinite color palette, while allowing precise control of the deposited thickness.

The process is suitable for a wide variety of substrates, including polymers, glass, aluminium, steel and zamak. It is particularly interesting for sensitive materials, as the treatment is carried out at controlled temperature in order to preserve the integrity of the substrate.

PVD Sputtering meets the requirements of luxury and premium markets thanks to the quality of its finishes, its precision, and its resistance to scratches, abrasion, corrosion and chemical agents.

It also represents a lower-impact solution: it allows up to 80% less varnish compared with a traditional line, generates no toxic wastewater after spraying, and uses no toxic chromium derivatives in the metallization process.
